Author: Mick Euan Tait  |  Category: Golf, Golf Apparel, Golf Equipment

As most of the people know, there are shoes for nearly each sport imaginable. There are few sports that do not have a special shoe that’s planned to improve the way you play while wearing them. Yet many people can’t afford to always buy all of the extra sports equipment like shoes that are needed. Many golf beginners often question if it is truly important to purchase golfing shoes to really play golf. In trying to balance money concerns with safety considerations there are a few things that you should remember.

You Can’t Use Golf Shoes Away From The Golf Course

Your prime concern should be your talent level. A golf beginner usually cannot explain the cost to buy golfing shoes. They are actually not cheap, and since they’re only worn while on the golf course they have got a very limited use outside the golf course. While basketball and tennis shoes can be worn in different situations, the golfing shoes must stay on the golf course in order to avoid damaging them, or the flooring on which you are walking on.

Golfing Tips: Understanding Your Clubs

For most beginning golfers, the game of golf may seem simple, yet upon closer inspection, it quickly becomes overwhelming.

You are given the task of hitting a golf ball hundreds of yards into a small hole the size of a Dixie cup. Luckily, sand traps, water hazards, hills and other elements are placed along the course to make this learning experience that much more agonizing.

This is daunting enough. But then, you have your choice of a bag full of clubs. Each is slightly different than the other, and you have no idea what to do with any of them. The game of golf is like a language you do not speak. When do you use your driver? What about woods versus irons?

Start at Your Equipment if You want to Hit Long Golf Drives

The tee is where every golf hole begins. If you’re having problems getting off the tee, then you’re opening every single hole playing catch up. You might save a bunch of pars with a great putt, but you could well be putting for birdies if your drive had found the fairway.

For nearly all players, being consistent with the driver and hitting long golf drives are far from being impossible. Being consistent from the tee is easier than most players appreciate.

Modern golf equipment means golf balls today get the best distance higher launch angles and a shallower angle of descent. It isn’t about low carrying drives any longer. Long drives come from high piercing trajectories, with most of the distance being carry.

Either way, golf carts are much like cars in that they may be modified and improved so far as you can imagine new changes to effect.

Golf Cart Malling Anyone?

My grandfather died a month ago so we went down for the wake. He died peacefully at the ripe age of 97 leaving my grandmother alone. Everybody went home to Manila, Philippines to grieve including those who have already migrated to New York.

It became like some kind of a reunion as most of them have not set foot on the country for more than 5 years already. It was a busy time for me because they all wanted to catch up and are very interested about the changes and developments happening since they’ve been away. We visited various malls everyday and would only come home at dusk to say the 9 day long prayers for the dead.

What factors should you consider before buying a new set of golf clubs? Here are some things to keep in mind when you start shopping for your very first set of golf clubs. First go ahead and set your goals. Decide these goals before you go shopping for clubs, because identifying realistic goals will make your shopping experience so much easier. For example, if you are taking up the game just so you can play twice a year with your brother-in-law, there’s no need to spend much time, effort or money on picking out clubs. If you are wildly enthusiastic about golf and you even plan on playing every chance you get, your sights of course need to be set higher. For example, The Callaway X-22 Tour Irons are an improvement on the X 20 Irons and are designed with professional players in mind. The thin top line on the head shape works with a 360-degree undercut channel to keep the length shorter and the center of gravity very very low. This can be adjusted for custom specifications. The sole width of each iron is designed based on the exact length and loft of the iron, providing a better turf interaction. The Callaway X-22 Tour Irons have features that Callaway provides on most of their irons, including precision notch weighting to create a higher moment of impact while maintaining the center of gravity. How to Choose Golf Shoes

Your swing will change, your accuracy and distance will improve with practice, and you’ll become deadly with a putter, but you will always do these things while standing on your feet.

Your feet need to be comfortable! Have you ever developed a blister while walking or running? It’s all you can think about and it ruins the experience. Don’t let uncomfortable shoes ruin your golf game.

This is one area where you shouldn’t let your frugality make the decision for you. You will be wearing these shoes many times and they should be considered an investment.

Comfort should be your biggest concern when buying shoes. Your foot should not move at all on your heel when you walk, yet your toes shouldn’t feel cramped. Have you shoes professional fit to your feet and walk around in them before you buy them.

How To Care For Your Golf Clubs Like A Baby

Perhaps the most expensive accessory you’ll ever buy are your golf clubs. But even after shelling out a pocket for them, most golfers don’t look after their clubs properly or don’t know how to do so.

Since you have invested time, money, and a lot of thought in purchasing your golf clubs, you should consider spending a little more effort in maintaining, storing, and using them properly.

First, consider the golf bag itself. Before you buy one, ensure that that the sides are toughened with some metal, like maybe steel. This helps protect your clubs in case the golf bag falls out of the cart or if it hits other objects.

To prevent theft of your clubs, see if you can buy a golf bag with a flap or a door on the top. The flap should come with a lock mechanism, for example, a number protected lock or even a simple lock-and-key will suffice.
